Chocolate Chip Brownies (basic, easy recipe)
Equipment
- 1 9 inch square baking pan, buttered and floured
- 1 Small mixing bowl
- 1 medium saucepan
Ingredients
- 12 oz chocolate chips, semi-sweet (divided in half), I prefer Guittard or Ghirardelli
- 3/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1/2 cup sugar (can use up to 3/4 cup if you like sweeter)
- 2 tbs water
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
- In a small bowl, combine the flour, baking powder and salt.
- In saucepan, heat over medium high heat, combine butter, sugar and water. Bring to a boil and remove from heat. Stir in half the chocolate chips and vanilla extract until morsels melt and texture is smooth.
- Then add the eggs one at a time to the chocolate mixture and gradually blend in flour mixture.
- Then stir in remaining chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into prepared baking pan and bake for about 25-35 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.

This is a basic and easy brownie recipe.
