Chocolate Chip Brownies (basic, easy recipe)

Equipment

  • 1 9 inch square baking pan, buttered and floured
  • 1 Small mixing bowl
  • 1 medium saucepan

Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz chocolate chips, semi-sweet (divided in half), I prefer Guittard or Ghirardelli
  • 3/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar (can use up to 3/4 cup if you like sweeter)
  • 2 tbs water
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
  • In a small bowl, combine the flour, baking powder and salt.
  • In saucepan, heat over medium high heat, combine butter, sugar and water. Bring to a boil and remove from heat. Stir in half the chocolate chips and vanilla extract until morsels melt and texture is smooth.
  • Then add the eggs one at a time to the chocolate mixture and gradually blend in flour mixture.
  • Then stir in remaining chocolate chips.
  • Pour batter into prepared baking pan and bake for about 25-35 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.

This is a basic and easy brownie recipe.
